The camera saves the left image as JPG and the entire stereo image as MPO and only shows the left image on the screen. The image is cropped, depending on the aspect ratio the user has selected.

I have another question about the Panasonic cameras that are compatible with the 3D lens: What do you see through the EVF or on the screen? Does it show half of the .mpo it will take, or the entire sensor image, with all the areas that will be cropped out when it creates the .mpo? Or does this vary by camera?
